Original Abstract

This paper focuses on a specific U-tube heat exchanger consisting of several parallel flow systems each of which contains linearly tapered distributor and collector connected by double U-tubes. The aim is to provide a formula for coefficient of static regain for such systems when a constant-density fluid is used, however, applicability of such formula to cases of compressible fluid is briefly studied as well.
