Paper deals with problem of luminous efficacy of new modern and trendy light sources as LEDs. These sources have announced perspective future and many producers catch this challenge to provide this new technology for artificial lighting event for public lighting. In this paper is mentioned basic theory defined maximum theoretical effi-cacy of this sources, based on knowing spectrum of nowa-days sources.
