Original Abstract

This paper deals with registration of ultrasound images (time sequences) acquired after application of contrast bolus into blood stream, which changes image properties. The properties of mutual information metric are investigated with regards to changes in object's contrast. Three experiments were conducted to show usefulness of mutual information metric in real cases. The evaluation was performed at the subjective level using perfusion curves as an indicator of registration success.
