Original Abstract

The paper focuses particularly on basic RBSO (Reliability-Based Structural Optimization) algorithm features and numerical comarisons between RBSO and DBSO (Deterministic-Based Structural Optimisation) algorithms for the studied problem. An example definition of an RBSO problem (conversion from a deterministic to a probabilistic problem) and its solution are presented on the optimization of a RC cross-section, which is subjected to the combinations of lnormal force and bending moments.
