Original Abstract

This paper describes verification prototype of VoIP private branch exchange (PBX) with fine modularity capability which supports analogue telephones. Number of telephone lines can be changed in multiples of two, which is significantly finer over classical full sized SLIC cards, which usually come in multiples of 32 or even 64 lines. The PBX is based on Silicon Labs line of integrated SLIC integrated circuits and uses ARM Xscale with embedded Linux and Asterisk as controlling CPU. The entire PBX is built using two layer PCBs, which ensures its low manufacturing costs. PBX is enclosed in standard 19" rack case with 1U height.
