Original Abstract

The paper deals with chip forms made by indexable turning tools for grooving and parting. Experimental data of force loading and chip geometry from the experimental tests have been obtained. Statistical assessment and mathematical formula for cutting forces were calculated for multi-regression regarding the cutting conditions and other parameters of cutting. The equations allow a calculation of maximal chip radius and total force for cutting, dependant mainly on feed and cutting speed. REM analyses of the coated inserts and wear was done.
