Original Abstract

This paper is concerned with the stress-strain analysis of modern cutting tools. The high speed steel (HSS) end mill cutters were used for the analysis. Various methods to create corresponding models geometry cutting tool were applied. The Finite Element Method (FEM) was used. Cutting forces applied on the cutting tool in machining were used for the Finite Element method calculation. KISTLER piezoelectric quartz dynamometer 9257B, charge amplifiers KISTLER 9011A, fully controlled with PC were used. The following programmes, such as ANSYS, ANSYS Workbench were used for calculations. Srovnáním výpočtů provedených analyticky, metodou konečných prvků ve svých variantách, se zjistili problematická místa nástroje a jsou uvedeny návrhy pro jejich odstranění. Results of various FEM and analythics solution was compare high riscs shapes on the tool was described and suggestions for better solution was done.
