Original Abstract

Lignite in its native state can find use, instead of simple burning, in a variety of non-energy applications like environmental and agricultural technologies. These applications are substantiated by very good sorption properties of lignite. This work reports on first results obtained with sorption of selected textile dyes (cationic or basic type) on the lignite mined in the South Moravia. Sorption efficacy and sorption time are discussed as well as effect of lignite amount.
