Original Abstract

A comparative study of two approaches to the design of planar antennas on EBG substrates is presented in the paper. Attention is focused to the match between the required parameters of the designed antennas and obtained ones. The final discussion results in methodological recommendations, which can ensure a proper functionality of the designed structure.
