Original Abstract
Despite long evolution dating long time back, fracture processes still remain a big challenge for engineers and researchers all over the world. Lately, together with "traditional" elements erosion method new meshless methods Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics and Element Free Galerkin were introduced to well established finite element code LS-DYNA. In this field it has probably largest selection of material failure possibilities. This work is intended to outline different methods and qualitatively compare the result with the experiment of production operation of bold head trimming.
