Original Abstract

Modern network technology puts all the time bigger demands on the properties of continuous time filters. In particule, wide bandwidth applications are required. We can find new active elements which operate on higher frequencies compared with commonly used active elements in many new applications. These are, for example, current or voltage conveyors. In this paper a new building block of analog circuits, the Universal Voltage Conveyor UVC, is presented. New filter circuits using UVC are designed. The proposed structures embody a high rate of linearity and that is why they are suitable for filters in cable modems.
