Original Abstract

The paper deals with an improved method for a computation of the sensitivities of voltage/current waves propagating along the multiconductor transmission lines (MTL). The MTLs form distributed parts of more complex linear hybrid circuits. Modified nodal analysis method is used to describe the whole system and a chain/admittance matrix conversion is applied to get the sensitivities with respect to primary MTLs parameters. The improvement lies in more efficient calculation of the derivative of the matrix exponential function describing mathematically the MTLs chain matrices. The (x,s)-domain solution is first found then a numerical inversion of Laplace transforms is applied to obtain the (x,t)-domain sensitivities.
