Original Abstract

This contribution deals with an optimal design computation of general RC cross-section subjected to a set of spatial loads - N, My, Mz. The optimization space consists of design variables, which are required to be discrete. The target function is defined as a condition of minimum of longitudinal reinforcement designed for the whole load bearing structure or a condition of initial costs and environmental aspects. The allowable solution space is further restricted by constraints, obtained from the conditions of reliability of reinforced concrete structures in relation to load vectors (ULS). The principles of solution based on combination of an GRG and designed strategy are presented and illustrated on numerical examples.
