Original Abstract

In former times the most frequent structural materials were stone and masonry. Nowadays, the most modern materials used in the building industry are composite materials (using carbon, glass and aramid fibres) in combination with classic masonry structures.By application of these non-prestressed composite reinforcement is possible to increase a strength, stiffness and durability of masonry structures.
