Original Abstract

The article is focused on stress-strain analysis of behavior of uniaxial fibre composite material with elastomer matrix. there. This type of composite is used in tyre production, in particular as a vulcanized rubber reinforced by steel fibres. This material is characterised by large deformations of matrix and a difference in moduli of elasticity of 4 - 5 orders between matrix and fibres. Using a 3D model, created in FE program system ANSYS, the uniaxial tension test of this composite is simulated. The angle between load direction and fibres is 0, 45 and 90 degrees. The properties of matrix are determined experimentally and simulated by a hyperelastic constitutive model. The aim of the paper is to test whether the designed computational model is able to describe the stress-strain states in this material structure reliably.
