Original Abstract

We propose to utilize coherence-gated multiply scattered light for direct imaging and enhancement of standard imaging modes of interferometric partially coherent imaging systems. The complementary nature of images acquired for different coherence gate positions can be exploited to substantially improve the image quality. We demonstrate sub-diffraction limited imaging achieved with coherent variant of structured illumination and substantially improved quality of imaging through strongly scattering media. Our novel imaging approach applies to a wide range of partially coherent imaging systems.
