Original Abstract

Společně s aktuálními protesty proti rasismu ve Spojených státech amerických dochází po celém světě k přehodnocování podoby veřejného prostoru a role kulturních institucí, které se podílejí na upevňování stávající mocenské struktury, založené na třídních, rasových či kulturních nerovnostech mezi lidmi. Právě po takovém přehodnocení volá i text Ladislava Zikmunda-Lendera, který připomíná, jakým způsobem se rasismus týká také české kulturní scény, a který je úvodem k překladu kritické eseje amerického památkáře Franklina D. Vagnona, jež vyjde pod názvem Systémové předsudky a rasismus památkové péče na Artalku zítra.

English abstract

Along with the current protests against racism in the United States, the shape of the public space and the role of cultural institutions that contribute to consolidating the existing power structure, based on class, racial or cultural inequalities between people, are being re-evaluated around the world. The text of Ladislav Zikmund-Lender, which recalls how racism also affects the Czech cultural scene, and which is the introduction to the translation of a critical essay by the American conservationist Franklin D. Vagnon, entitled Systemic Prejudices and Racism of Monument Care, also calls for such a reassessment. at Artalka tomorrow.
