Original Abstract

Skupinová výstava BíLá Místa v ústecké Galerii Hraničář, kterou připravily kurátorky Věra Duždová Horváthová a Vendula Fremlová, odkazuje ke globálnímu hnutí Black Lives Matter a klade si otázky týkající se strukturního rasismu vůči romské menšině ve středoevropském kontextu. Ladislav Zikmund-Lender přibližuje v recenzi prezentovaná umělecká díla a ptá se, zda lze překládat témata protestních hnutí z jednoho geopolitického kontextu do druhého bez toho, aniž by docházelo ke zjednodušování.

English abstract

The group exhibition BíLá Místa in the Ústí nad Labem Gallery Hraničář, prepared by curators Věra Duždová Horváthová and Vendula Fremlová, refers to the global Black Lives Matter movement and raises questions about structural racism against the Roma minority in the Central European context. Ladislav Zikmund-Lender approaches the works of art presented in the review and asks whether the themes of protest movements can be translated from one geopolitical context to another without simplification.
