Original Abstract

Agentní modely jsou jednou z metod využívaných pro výpočet bezpečné kapacity budovy v případě evakuace. Agentní modely však často neberou v potaz psychologické aspekty ovlivňující lidské rozhodování ani volbu navigačních strategií. Klíčovým aspektem během navigace je i samotná konfigurace prostoru. Teorie prostorové syntaxe umožňuje popis prostoru kvantitativními charakteristikami, které prokazatelně korelují s lidskými aktivitami a volbou tras. V tomto příspěvku diskutujeme výsledky SWOT analýzy využití metody prostorové syntaxe pro zpřesnění agentního evakuačního modelu. Výsledky pilotní studie ve virtuálním prostředí potvrzují, že prostorová konfigurace ovlivňuje lidské rozhodování i během evakuace.

English abstract

Agent-based models are one of the methods used to calculate the safe capacity of a building in the event of an evacuation. However, agent-based models often do not take into account psychological aspects influencing human decision-making or the choice of navigation strategies. A key aspect during navigation is the configuration of the space itself. The theory of space syntax allows the description of space by quantitative characteristics that are demonstrably correlated with human activities and the choice of routes. In this paper, we discuss the results of a SWOT analysis of the use of the space syntax method to refine the agent evacuation model. The results of the pilot study in a virtual environment confirm that the spatial configuration influences human decision-making even during evacuation.
