Original Abstract

In the present study, the rheological properties and the heat of hydration of an alkaliactivated slag paste, modified with various amounts of four different polymer admixtures, were investigated. VINNAPAS® 5023 L, 5111 L, 7016 F and 7220 E were incorporated in the alkali activated slag pastes in quantities ranging between 0.5 and 2% by mass of slag. Shear stress and viscosity of the produced fresh pastes were studied. Results indicate that addition of polymer admixtures affects the viscosity of the pastes and hydration process
