Original Abstract

The article presents models of an induction flowmeter and discusses relevant experimental measuring cycles. Our models suitably simulate the tuned periodic structure of the device, which finds use in nondestructive/ non-contact measurement of very low to medium velocity flows (v = 0.01-1 mm/s) at a distance of 0.1-3 mm from the surface of the flowmeter body. One of the specific target applications assumed for the modeled device consists in evaluating the instantaneous fluid flow in plant xylem.
