Original Abstract

The paper deals with a basic arrangement and power budget model of optical wireless communication link. Optical wave propagation is modeled by the Gaussian beam. The power budget of optical wireless communication link is based on power balance equation for the mean values of all quantities for a hypothetical clear atmosphere. The determination of maximum link range for a certain link margin by graphical method is presented.
