Original Abstract

A comprehensive study of straight light pipe efficiency and illuminance distribution below ceiling level is performed using HOLIGILM tool. The simulation data serve for specification of daylight pipe recommendations for different locality specified by latitude and sky luminance pattern. The computational results show that the transmittance is a monotonic function of solar altitude, except for low sun conditions.
