Original Abstract

The aim of this study is compare the profile of zinc-proteins level of potential tumour markers in the cell lines PC-3, LNCaP and PNT1A. Zinc plays an important role in the healthy prostatic tissue. It is necessary for the proliferation, differentiation, regulation and apoptosis of the cells. Prostatic healthy tissue accumulate zinc in the cells of the lateral lobes in the prostate. Cancer prostatic tissue loses this ability. Cell lines PC-3 and LNCaP represent prostate cancer and line PNT1A represent healthy and control prostate tissue. We have developed automatic and fast method of the isolation of zinc-proteins from prostatic cells by magnetic particles modified by specific antibody. Zinc was measured by the electrochemical method - differential pulse voltammetry. We determined 15% decreased level of zinc in prostate cancer patients than in the control healthy prostatic cells.
