Original Abstract

This paper discusses a photovoltaic power plant affected by Potentially Induced Degradation (PID). In the work is presented the initial analysis of PID detection through the thermal image camera and subsequent examination of the extent of degradation on individual PV modules placed in the negative part of string WR14. As an PID indicator was chosen maximum power point parameter and open circuit voltage parameter. From the measured values it was found that the extent of PID degradation is not directly proportional to the negative voltage potential or on the PV module location in the string.
