Original Abstract

The processes of internationalisation and globalisation of economy, to a large extent resulting from development of conditions of free international movement of goods and capital, have created new possibilities for companies participation in international business. Establishment in foreign markets represents a necessity for a lot of Czech companies, regarding the nature of domestic economy. One of the principal issues to be solved by exporters in relation to exports of their produce is financing of export contracts. Offer of a loan has become one of the factors strongly affecting saleability of goods in foreign markets in addition to quality and price. In the area of provision of loans to foreign clients the exporting companies undertake risks representing a threat in relation to payment of their claims towards foreign debtors. Loan management of the exporting company includes activities towards minimisation of commercial risks. The purpose of this article is to describe the instruments available for Czech businesses for use for the purpose of minimisation of commercial risk in the process of internationalisation.
