Zateplovací systém ETICS se poprvé začal využívat České republice až v roce 1993, kdy byl použit přibližně na půl milionu metrů čtverečných zástavby. V současné době je již tento systém prováděn na většině stávajících i nově zkonstruovaných budov. Objem současné produkce tohoto výrobku činí kolem 16 mil. m2, což řadí Českou republiku na přední místo produkce na jednoho obyvatele v Evropě. V současné době se obilná sláma, zejména pšeničná a žitná, někdy využívá na stavění slaměných domků pomocí slaměných balíků, jako tepelně-izolační výplň zdí dřevěné konstrukce. Také, ale méně často, je balíková sláma využívána jako dodatečná tepelná izolace obytných domků. Tento článek se zabývá možnosti využití slámy jako tepelného izolantu. Pojení izolačních desek ze slámy cementem se jeví jako vhodné díky dosaženým fyzikálně-mechanickým vlastnostem. Další výhodou tohoto pojiva je tzv. stabilizace organického plniva zamezení vzniku negativních vlivů vlivem právě použití organického plniva, tedy slámy. Při následném použití v systému ETICS vytváří cement vhodný podklad pro přilnutí stěrky a dalších materiálů, kdy riziko praskání a odlučování povrchové úpravy je snížené právě minerálním charakterem povrchu desek.

The first use of the ETICS insulating system in the Czech republic is dated to 1993, when it was used to insulate about half a million square meters of housing. Currently this system has been implemented on a large number of existing and newly constructed buildings. The volume of the current production is about 16 millions of square meters, which puts the Czech Republic at the forefront of production per inhabitant in Europe. Currently, the cereal straw, particularly wheat and rye is sometimes used for building houses using straw bales as a heat- insulating padding for wooden walls. Also, but less frequently, parcel straw used as an additional thermal insulation of residential houses. This article deals with the possibilities of using straw as a thermal insulator. Bonding insulating boards from straw with cement seem to be appropriate because of the achieved physico-mechanical properties. Another advantage of the cement is the stabilization of organic fillers to prevent the negative effects due to the very use of organic filler, a straw. During subsequent use in an ETICS, cement creates a suitable surface for the adhesion of mortar and other materials, where the risk of cracking and separation of surface treatment is reduced due to the mineral character of the board surface.
