Original Abstract

Clustering of objects is one of branches of data mining. Recently are the processed data more and more described by vague values. It seems useful to cluster these data respecting their vagueness, too. The vagueness is described by fuzzy sets. This paper concerns with clustering of such data and is dealing with the impact of vagueness to hierarchical clustering. This paper follows papers presented at previous conferences (Zittau 2000, 2001, 2002) and especially paper “Fuzzy Objects and Fuzzy Clustering (Zittau 2000) describing clustering of fuzzy objects using extension principle.
