Original Abstract
We present methodology for designing aesthetically appealing marker fields suited for particular contexts/environments and we showcase several exemplar uses of such markers. Marker tracking offers a cheap, reliable, and quick-start basic means for digital art based on augmented and mixed reality. One crucial limitation of existing marker designs is their visual unattractiveness: they are designed to ease their detection, not for their looks. Our approach allows for creation of visually appealing markers fitting given environments and/or contexts (to match a set of artistic pieces, industrial design patterns, etc.). We are showcasing several real-life examples of usage of our markers and suggest simple demonstration applications of them.
