Original Abstract

Environment protection is a very actual problem of today. Different types of waste materials are a threat to the environment. These materials are formed as secondary products in industrial production, they are generally deposited at waste site and they mostly aren´t utilized. This frequently used way of waste materials depositing has not only a negative effect to environment but it demands investment costs concerning the maintenance and rehabilitation of waste sites. The building industry offers different important possibilities for utilization of wastes in the production of building materials, including in structural engineering. Some types of waste materials can be used on favourable terms as a component in fillers or in binders for polymer-cement mortars. Polymer-cement mortar is composed of cement and polymer additives, which improve the properties of this building material.
