Original Abstract

Several experimental trials of aluminum anodization under specific conditions were carried out in this work. Samples were anodized at different voltages varying from 18 – 25 V. The high initial current during the anodization with voltages over 22 V was determined as main problem. Therefore the examinations in order to discover the reason and the principle of this negative phenomenon have been proposed and tested. The electropolishing pre-step was carried out in order to obtain a smooth mirror-finish surface of aluminum foils.
