Original Abstract

This paper informs about the results of laboratory experiments focused on unsteady two-dimensional parallel and rotational-symmetrical flow of water in a sands. The key evaluated variable was the degree of saturation of pores with water, which was determined on the basis of measurement of electrical resistance of soil using the electrical impedance spectrometry method. The evaluated pattern of the degree of saturation of pores with water with time was compared with a video recording, and a very good agreement of the time development of the front of flowing water was stated.
