Original Abstract

The aim of this study was the optimization of the method for the determination of fatty acids in sample with declared values of FA and comparison of separation of cis- and trans-isomers of fatty acid methyl esters on capillary columns (HP-88, Select FAME). Moreover, five esterification methods were assessed. Two esterification methods were acid-catalyzed, another two were base-catalysed and the last one was used both type of reagent.
