Original Abstract

Hyaluronan as a chemical with prevalent hydrophilic character in native form does not interact with hydrophobic species without additional support. The problem is that these areas are protected in the solution by probably highly organized molecules of water. The method of freeze-drying (lyophilization) was used in experimental part of this work to remove the water package and thereby making the binding sites available. Two fluorescence probes (perylene and prodan) were used as indicators of efficiency of interaction support. By monitoring of their specific fluorescence parameters the presence of desired interactions was judged. It was observed, that freeze-drying of the systems was effective way to support the interactions.
