Original Abstract

Classical electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an imaging modality in which the internal volume impedivity distribution is reconstructed based on the known injected currents and measured voltages on the surface of the object. However, in many medical as well as industrial cases a spongy or porous object is evaluated and it is characterized by sharp surface conductivity changes while volume conductivity can be neglected. We intend to show in the proposed paper the solution of such an approach based on the Tikhonov regularization and demonstrate it on two-dimensional (2D) examples.
