Original Abstract

The main goal of this paper is measuring of elastic modulus value immediately after the formation of skeletal frame in the concrete is initiated. The value of elastic modulus and corresponding tensile strength value has to be known for calculation of residual stress. The static elastic modulus can be reliably measured after the concrete gains sufficient strength, only. Thus the non-destructive ultrasonic echo method was used. With help of it the value of dynamic elastic modulus since placing concrete in the mould can be measured. Dynamic elastic modulus value was converted to the equivalent value of static modulus. In this way required relationship between time and modulus of elasticity from the initial set of concrete was obtained. Tensile strength value was gained from flexure strength and tensile splitting strength values. Needed conversion relations were deduced.
