Original Abstract

The present case study describes a way of finding and defines the success factors in the SSI SCHÄFER company. This is an international company engaged in the production and complete deliveries of storage and logistic systems for production plants, workshops and logistic centers. SSI SCHÄFER is one of the world´s leading intralogistic suppliers. The present case study is primarily aimed at finding the critical success factors of the chosen company on the basis of analyses and interviews. A secondary aim is to give an information survey of the problems related to international company management. On the basis of studying theoretical assumptions, company materials and analyses and interviews with the company representatives, the following factors, which make the company successful, have been defined: system and innovation, portfolio extension and investment and quality of tradition.
