Original Abstract

Humic acids are natural compounds often called as black gold of nature. They participate in natural processes. Significant is their role on transport of beneficial and harmful species in nature. Humic acids structural modelling is object of research for many decades and still a lot of key information are still missing or deficient. For structural modelling and also for possible future application of humic acids parameters as particle size and conformation seem to be essential. This contribution is dealing with study of both these parameters measured by means of dynamic light scattering method. The first part of the work is investigating behaviour of lignite and soil humic acids in aqueous solution. As a reference sample IHSS leonardite standard was utilized. Following part of the work describes effects of purification and selective modification of studied humic acids. Both these parameters significantly influence behaviour of humic acids in aqueous solutions.
