Original Abstract

The multiple-input single-output (MISO) technique is definitely one of the most perspective innovations which has been adapted for the second generation terrestrial DVB-T2 standard. Compared to the single-input single-output (SISO) technique it can reduce destructive interferences and improved the coverage of Single Frequency Networks. The main goal of this paper is to explore the DVB-T2 performance in fixed reception scenarios when services are broadcasted by SISO/MISO techniques. Moreover, possible benefits of rotated constellation technique are investigated too. For this purpose an appropriate measurement workplace is proposed and realized. The Gaussian (reference) and Rayleigh fading channel with 20 independent paths are considered in our measurements. The results consist of dependences of bit error ratio before channel decoding, and modulation error ratio on the carrier-to-noise ratio. It is shown that the performance of the MISO technique, compare to the SISO one, is better.
