Original Abstract

The main goal of the article presented is to show the difference between two approaches used to evaluate capture efficiency of a local ventilation system. Tracer gas method and CFD numerical modeling were used to obtain capture efficiency of the Aaberg suction hood (REEXS). This hood was installed at our labo-ratory. CO2 was used as a tracer gas to get capture efficiency. The commercial code STAR-CD was employed for numerical model-ling.
