Original Abstract

Electron-ion recombination is one of the main reactions which are responsible for decay of free electrons in plasma and consequently protect the dielectric breakdown in extinguishing SF6 arc. Different methods have been proposed in the past for calculating the atomic electron-ion recombination coefficient of plasma. The aim of this paper is to give a simple method for calculation of ionization and recombination coefficient which in addition takes into account radiative processes and atom-atom collisions.
