Original Abstract

The topic of family businesses in the Czech Republic in recent history (after the revolution in 1989) is relatively young. There is a huge potential in family businesses, and therefore this topic deserves attention. Business development since 1989 has brought a renewal of family businesses that worked well before the 1969. Business in the country is also quite an interesting topic. As it is generally known, the situation in the country is that the countrymen often commute to work to larger towns or cities, or they move from countryside to cities. In some cases the position of the rural areas deteriorates or these areas depopulate. The combination of family business with business in the country may create interesting conditions that could have a positive impact on quality of life in the country. The possible impact is discussed in this article.
