Original Abstract

The paper is focused on problems of the experimental verification of the actual behaviour, failure mechanism and mainly load-carrying capacity of thin-walled ferro-cement panels, which are developed for the usage in floor or roof slab horizontal structures. In the paper the overview and description of the realization and results of the loading tests of three types of ferro-cement panels with accent to the evaluation of their load-carrying capacity and its comparison with the theoretical analysis results. The main aim of the loading tests was to verify and evaluate the configuration of the panels, especially the arrangement and dimensions of the reinforcement from the viewpoint of its suitability and efficiency and in common with respect to the reaching reliable structural design. For the realization of the experimental verification the vacuum loading test method as one of the most effective loading procedures has been applied.
