Original Abstract

The paper describes the basic physical and mechanical properties of a newly developed non-metallic anchor element and also describes its behaviour. In the text the basic principles of analytical solution of an anchoring area of prestressed FRP reinforcement are shown. The functionality of the newly developed prestressing and anchoring system was verified by load tests and the obtained results are compared with theoretically and numerically calculated values.
