Original Abstract

In the paper, a stacked mushroom-planar high impedance surface (HIS) for simultaneous in-phase wave reflection and surface-wave suppression was introduced. The developed structure is realized on FR4 substrate and exhibits large band gap from 4.6 to 6.4 GHz (relative bandwidth 32%).
