Original Abstract

The article deals with development of light constructional concrete with bulk density of about 1000 kg/m3. Using of this material is supposed for prefabricated segmental elements in constructions of wildlife overpasses and also for reconstructions. Lightening was trying with: foams, light filler, light aggregate, air-entraining agent and combination of forgoing possibilities. Required lightening by first two ways was unsuccessful. It was decided that by using light aggregate (expanded clay) properties will be improved above current level. The classification of light concrete according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1 should be LC 12/13 –D1,0. For the lightening was used a light aggregate and combination with airentraining agent were trying. The mixtures with class density of D1.0 was not reached in most cases, although usually very closely. In the next development the Liapor fraction ratio was modified and requied aeration was achieved. With this modification there was reached desired classification LC 12/13- D1,0.
