Original Abstract

The choice of method for constructing DNA spectrogram affects the properties of the resulting spectrogram. In our work we have studied the properties of the spectrogram calculated in three ways: by Fourier transform of numerically represented DNA sequence, by Fourier transform of the autocorrelation function and by AR model. The main objective was to determine which method is suitable for detecting regions with a periodicity of 3 bp, tandem repeats and CpG islands. The choice of method of construction spectrogram is very important for subsequent automatic detection of areas of interest in spectrogram.
