Original Abstract

The article deals with the application of fuzzy probabilistic analysis in the verification of the reliability of design of steel members according to the concepts of standards Eurocode 3 and EN1990, based on the theory of limit states.Histograms and statistical characteristics of material and geometric properties monitored and measured over a long time period were used for assessment. Nevertheless, new results of theoretical reliability studies show that epistemic uncertainty, which can be examined and quantified using the theory of fuzzy set, should be taken into account for a complete probabilistic analysis. The study of the influence of fuzzy uncertainty of random input parameters on the fuzzy uncertainty of failure probability is presented in the article.
