Original Abstract

The Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) are used in most cases in todays image- and video- compression algorithms. The imageand the video- data can be protected against illegal usage by means of the Digital Rights Management (DRM) or the digital watermarking methods. This paper deals with comparison of two robust digital image watermarking methods. The first method uses DWT and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), the second one uses DCT and SVD. The testing of the robustness of the developed methods was done with the checkmark watermark benchmarking project. The whole test, results and conclusions are presented at the end of this paper.
