Original Abstract

This study is focused on the determination of 9 worldwide used musk compounds in water biota. The method PSE-GC/MS has been optimized to determine the levels of selected analytes in fish samples which were collected in front of WWTP and behind WWTP Brno-Modřice. Galaxolide is the polycyclic musk compound which was found at the highest concentration level. It was determined that the WWTP Brno-Modřice has not significant influence on the concentrations of musk compounds in fish in the river Svratka. The results corroborate ubiquitous occurrence of musks in the environment.
